About Us

Marty and Megan Graham
Married since September 1989 and Partners in MG2 Cricket. Both are still club cricket players and both have a huge passion for the game. To visit their home and workshop is like visiting a cricket showroom and museum: everything on display is about Cricket and for Cricketers. From the collection of Signed bats and shirts from international and first class aplyers to caps from all the teams and clubs they have played in over the years. Megan also has several hundred books, you guessed it - mainly about cricket!!

Megan Graham
Having played representative Cricket for over 25 years for Hawkes Bay from 1979 until 2005, having also retired from first class cricket only three years ago after 18 years at that level for the Central District Women's team. In her youth she was selected for an internal tour with the NZ U23's team and was in the New Zealand squads as well on a couple of occasions for both Cricket and Football (soccer) but never made the step up to actually playing in any matches for her country at senior level.

Even since her retirement from both football and representative Cricket she was still involved for a season as Manageress for the Central Districts Hinds and the Hawkes Bay womens football team and remains a firm supporter and follower of all womens Cricket and football, with a keen interest in Cricket scoring. Megan is still playing club cricket and continually injured with "niggles"as a result of thinking she is 15 years younger than she is!.

Marty Graham
Somewhat inevitably and by default Marty was also involved in women's representative Cricket on a coaching and management basis for many years. Marty was a representative footballer in his youth and played for many years until a knee reconstruction halted his involvement, although he has returned on the odd occasion to help out over the last few seasons in lower grades.
Marty specific knowledge is on Cricket equipment; bats in particular, having operated a workshop in his garage doing repairs for over 15 years now and he specifically likes to keep up to date with changes in technology in the market place comparing and analysing bats and equipment from season to season.

He is well known and acknowledged by many first class and international players as being a world-class bat maker and his background knowledge and experience in Cricket is a great advantage in his personal dealings with these players.
